Fifty-seven percent of Americans say gun sales are up in the United States not because of the fear of crime but because of wariness over increased government restriction on gun ownership, according to a new Rasmussen survey. . "Americans Arm Themselves Fearing New Gun Laws: Poll" Read Article
So many Americans are buying guns, including ammunition, that ammunition for popular revolver and semi-automatic hand guns is scarce.
Some people claim that we have no worry as Candidate Obama said he was for private ownership of guns. However, Candidate Obama said a lot of things that he has gone back on once he ascended the throne of the Presidency.
Attorney General Eric Holder has publicly stated he is in favor of banning the sale of automatic rifles, and I believe he will try to deliver on his statement.
He advocated federal licensing of handgun owners, a three-day waiting period on handgun sales, rationing handgun sales to no more than one per month, banning possession of handguns and so-called "assault weapons" by anyone under age 21, a gun show restriction bill that would have given the federal government the power to shut down all gun shows, and national gun registration (source).
Gun owners---keep your powder dry!
