It is Time for Christians to stand up for truth and cease being cowardly

It is Time for Christians to stand up for truth. If this includes boycotts, calling out those who claim to be for free speech—and are not, and other hypocrites on the left, so be it! It is time for Christians, and conservatives to begin to involve themselves in civil disobedience, if necessary.

Parents of children in our public schools need to get “mad as hell,” as Bill O’Reilly puts it, and demonstrate against the school boards who punish our children by preventing Christmas programs, punishing children for using ‘pretend’ guns and bows in the classroom, and other ‘politically correct’ thinking.

It is claimed that Christmas ‘offends’ non-Christians, that teaching that sex is to between a man and a woman offends gays, that pro-life beliefs ‘offend’ those who believe in abortion, etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseum.

Well, I don CARE if you are of some of the beliefs of the left and are offended by my beliefs anymore. Better you be offended than me, as I am offended by your very attitude as well as your immoral beliefs and actions.

I am boycotting A&E. I used to watch it quite a bit, but not anymore. I don’t watch much on TV as of late. I mostly watch Fox News, Hallmark channel, and Netflix.

The Government Shutdown is a Deliberate Lie!

By Rick

It was designed by President Obama, or someone close to Obama, and if so, with his blessing. It was done to destroy the Republican Party, by hurting the public by shutting down only those public parks, monuments, and memorials.

It is a gigantic sham! The government is not shut down. All internal workings of the federal government, not open to the public, continue as usual. Of the 4 million public employees, only about 800,000 were furloughed, or so we were told by the press, quoting public officials. Can we believe anything anymore we are told by any of those in charge? Or by the mainstream news coverage?

The senate Democrats, especially Harry Reid, blames the so-called shutdown on the Republicans. Oh, is that so? The political parties have no constitutional authority to shut down the government, only elected officials in charge of government can do so. So, it has to have been the president who has shut down the government.

The contrived shutdown has hurt many innocent citizens. Home owners on government land were ordered by wardens and rangers–who were working, to vacate their homes. Families of service personnel killed were denied insurance benefits. Parks and events supported by private donations were closed. World War II veterans were not allowed to visit their memorial, until they rushed past the barricades, aided by some congress men and women. And many others were hurt as well, too numerous to list. And some business, we will learn, will close as a result of this corrupt maneuver by the Democrats.

I am waiting to how these corrupt officials react when thousands of trucks begin to descend on Washington DC.

The Million Vet March on the Memorials

By Onan Coca 8 October 2013

Apparently, watching members of the Greatest Generation getting manhandled while they tried to visit the war memorial that was built to honor them and the friends they lost during WWII, was just too much for some members of our veteran’s community. A group calling itself the "Million Vet March On The Memorials" is planning a march on Washington, D.C. to take place on October 13, 2013 at 9:00 am. “We are all military brats, current and former military spouses and some veterans. We cannot express how utterly disappointed we were that our Greatest Generation were being used as political pawns in the ongoing government shutdown and budget crisis. This should never be the case. Read more at Million Man March.

As a veteran of the Korean Era who can not walk without aid, I wish I could go with them. The act of closing the open air memorial, was a deliberate act to hurt as many people, in this case WWII vets, and make the other political party look stupid.

I hope this jumps up and bites the president and his men. Time will tell.

What should the church do to solve our problems?

What should the church do in light of the mess we, as a nation and a people, have gotten ourselves into? What should Christians do next?

'We should judge less and pray more and repent of our own sins first.
For it is time for judgment to begin with God's household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Judgment begins with the house of God, i.e., with the church and with Christians. 1 Peter 4:17, NIV. Obama and the Democrats won because enough Christians voted for them, and are a major cause of the problems plaguing our nation today.

The next thing Christians must do is to repent and return to God. [I]f my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14, New International Version (NIV)

True Unemployment Is 17.6%, Not 7.6%

 Markos Kaminis

The government Friday reported that the unemployment rate was 7.6% in May, but I dispute that for two critical reasons. When incorporating underemployed Americans into the count, and when accounting for the 7.26 million Americans I estimate are missing from the labor force count due to their very long-term joblessness, the real unemployment rate could be as high as 17.6%, and is probably at least 11.7%. Thus, the economy is not as healthy as one might hope based on the government's account. It is also greatly dependent on the Federal Reserve's synthetic aid and is highly vulnerable in its current state. So, considering this, I have to wonder if America understood the current state of affairs, would the SPDR S&P 500 (SPY), SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average (DIA) and the PowerShares QQQ (QQQ) each be up in the mid-teens year to date?

The Founding Fathers on the Second Amendment

"I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them."
George Mason
Co-author of the Second Amendment
during Virginia's Convention to Ratify the Constitution, 1788

"A militia, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves …"
Richard Henry Lee
writing in Letters from the Federal Farmer to the Republic, Letter XVIII, May, 1788.

"The people are not to be disarmed of their weapons. They are left in full posession of them."
Zachariah Johnson
Elliot's Debates, vol. 3 "The Debates in the Several State Conventions on the Adoption of the Federal Constitution."

"… the people are confirmed by the next article in their right to keep and bear their private arms"
Philadelphia Federal Gazette
June 18, 1789, Pg. 2, Col. 2
Article on the Bill of Rights

"And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the Press, or the rights of Conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms; …"
Samuel Adams

Make no mistake about it. Those who would take away our Second Amendment rights do so ., i.e., to reduce our citizens to subjects, and to take away any of the rest of the bill of rights without objection of our citizens.
